The Greeting Farm

Good morning everyone. Cloudy and a little chilly here in Essex today.

I'm going to show my latest card which is very very cute (even if I do say so myself!)

I'm using a card blank by Craftworkcards called back 2 basics. The stamp is by The Greeting Farm and is called Stella. I've coloured her using promarkers. I've also used a couple of die cut shapes I've cut out on my big shot and added some flowers. These are called sweetheart blossom.

I'm only entering this card into 1 challenge.
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - bright and cheerful

So, I hope you like it. As I've said before, I really appreciate your comments.

post-it note holder

Good morning,

I'm really tired this morning after staying up to watch the opening ceremony. So glad I did though. It was absolutely amazing and something I will remember for a long time.

On to today's post. I'm still playing with items for craft fairs. I sold post-it note holders last year but I have changed the design so they are more of a matchbook style.

The colour isn't brilliant on this photo because it is more of a darg green and I have made it look more grungy by distressing the edges in brown. I've added a rosette using Bo Bunny papers (I think) on the top. The front cover tucks under the scalloped edge and I've just added a little die cut on the front flap.

Here is the holder open.

I really enjoy making this kind of thing, so I will make lots more. I think I'll make some more bright and cheery ones too!

What do you think?

Nice and simple

It's Olympic start day! Whoop! Whoop!

Today I have a nice and simple card to show you.

Cute huh? Sometimes less is more.

The beach hut stamp was free with Simply Homemade magazine a couple of months back and I've coloured it with promarkers. I've distressed the edges using  distress inks. I made the little tag and distressed the edges, finishing off with a little bakers twine.

I'm going to enter this into 6 challenges.

Aud Sentiments - the sentiment must be on a tag
Little Miss Muffet - Neopolitan ice cream
Cute Card Thursday - distressing
Crafts 4 Eternity - Brilliant birthdays
Polka Doodles Weekly - Summer
Daring Cardmakers - This is the house that Jack built

Hope you like it.

Covered shopping list pad

I'm still playing with things for my Christmas craft fairs. I don't want it to be all  cards.

So here is a regular shopping list pad that I bought in Tesco and covered in Bo Bunny papers.

In hindsight, I need to make the owl stand out more, but I'm sure I could sell these.
What do you think?

An easel card

Hello everyone. The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day!

Today I am showing you an easel card.

 This is the finished card.

Hmmm ... I didn't realise this photo was blurry sorry.

This is meant to show the card laying down, so it will go in a regular envelope.

This is the card open with a panel for a message to be written.

The stamp is called Cosy Tilda and I have coloured her with promarkers.

I am entering this card into 4 challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - fairies

Playing with folds

Happy Sunday!

It's a beautiful day here and I am hoping to spend the majority of it crafting.

Today I am going to show you another card I've been playing with. Again this is just something I've been fiddling with so I know it's not perfect.

This is the card closed. You can't see it properly, but the butterflies are stuck on so that they 'stick out' from the card as if they are flying.
Here is the card opened out.
And this is the reverse of the card, where I have added panels for messages to be written.

What do you think?

I'd just like to say a big thank you for following me and that I also really appreciate your comments. Thank you so much.

Loving owls

Good morning everyone.

Is that the sun I see shining?

Today I have an easel card to show you. It's not a great photo (excuse the telephone wire in the background!)

How cute?
This card was really easy to make. The owls are a punch from Stampin' Up! and like most easel cards, it folds flat to fit into a regular envelope.

I hope you like it.

Petal Card

Good morning and hello to my new followers.

I'm doing a couple of craft fairs near Christmas, so I've been playing with different types of cards.

Over the weekend I made a petal card. I'd never heard of it before. but found the tutorial on splitcoaststampers (I LOVE this site) and had a go.

Now, this was my first attempt so I know the card is a little wonky. I know what changes I need to make for next time but thought I'd share anyway.

The finished card looks like a regular square card.

The image is attached to a belly band. Here I have taken the belly band off  so you  can see underneath.
I have opened out the top two petals.
This is the card fully opened.

I used black cardstock and papers by My Minds Eye (I think - they are quite old and in my stash). The image is called Blissful and is by Little Claire. I have coloured her with promarkers.

So, what do you think. I'd love to know.

Going Dutch

Good afternoon!

Today I have made a card called a Double Dutch card. If you don't know why it's because the gatefold is at the bottom and then the card opens up.

I've used a Magnolia stamp called Cross Stitch Tilda and coloured her with promarkers.

The card fits into a standard c6 envelope. I can't take credit for the design. I saw it on Splitcoaststampers, where you can find it too.

I don't know about you but I love love love it!!!!!

2nd Christmas card of the year

OK so I have really made a start on my Christmas cards now. I've got fairs coming up and need to start seriously thinking about making lots more!

I've used a deep red card base with a green ornanment that is slightly raised from the card.
I've used Stampin' Up! products for this card,

I'm going to enter this into 1 card challenge today.

The Pink Elephant - the theme is Christmas in July.

Hope you like it.

2nd card today

I really like this card (even if I say so myself!). It's really bright and vibrant.

I'm entering this into the Penny Black challenge blog. Unfortunately, I don't have many Penny Black stamps, so I have to be creative with what I do have.

This card is going into 2 challenges:

Charisma Cardz - sketch
Penny Black - the theme is summertime

I hope you like it.

Thank you notelets

I made these super cute thank you notelets.

Each notelet is only 3" x 3" but that is all you need to say thank you!

I've used the Stampin' Up! confetti stamp and then punched out the owl and stuck him on with pads so he is slightly raised on the card.

Always handy to have as you never know when you need them!

Full of hearts

Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago. It is a gatefold card with a square in the middle.

And this is the card opened.

You can see that I inked the edges of the cream and the red panels to give it a bit of a vintagy feel.

Would love to know what you think and appreciate all your comments.

Get me!!!!   He he

It's a beautiful day here and I've been busy with another card.

This is one is a little different to my normal style and I have used the free papers and ribbon that came with Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The felt flower is from my own stash.

The stamp is by Little Claire and coloured with promarkers.

I'm entering this card into 2 challenges.

Surprise surprise! It's a card

Here I am again and I'm going to show you another card.
Now, I need to be a bit more chatty on here I know, but I find that really tricky!!! Hopefully I'll get better at it as time goes on.

When I was making this card I ran out of the normal glue I use and couldn't get any more. So after routing around the office I found some liquid Pritt Stick. Ta da! Or so I thought. I was soooo disappointed with it. Lesson learnt and wont be using that again!

I'm entering this card into 2 challenges.

Allsorts Challenge - the theme was flowers
The Sweetest Thing - sketch to follow

Hope you like it!

Well I had to jump in with everyone else making red, white and blue cards. There is such a buzz at the moment!

This card is going to be entered into a couple of challenges. They are:

Passion for Promarkers - the theme was a sketch
The Pink Elephant - there was a photo for inspiration
Papertake Weekly - the theme was Anything Goes
Ribbon Carousel - the theme was Independence Day; red, white and blue

I hope you like it.

Sunday 1 July 2012

It's that time of year!!

It's almost like swearing.... Christmas!!!

Well, if like me you do craft fairs then it's time to start thinking about the dreaded C word. I know I've done it before and left making these cards 'til later but I'm always rushed in the end.

I have to be honest and say I'm not so keen on this one. Whether that's because it's my first seasonal card and I don't want to acknowledge that I need to get on and make lots more, I don't know.

Anyway, I'm going to enter this card into a few challenges. They are:

Secret crafter - the theme is Christmas
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Christmas Card Challenge - Monochromatic
The Paper Players - Christmas in July

Have you started your big C crafting yet?
