Neglected blog!

This has been a very much neglected blog, but now I'm ready to start.

Recently I have fallen head over heels with patchwork and quilting. Finished quilts are pure works of art and I am longing to make my own. The trouble is I have no sewing experience other than cross stitch, so this is going to be very much a labour of love,

So, here is my very first attempt:

Now I know I'm being very biased here, but I don't think that that is too bad for a first attempt! You can see where the seams don't match, so that is something I need to work on.
On the whole though, I'm quite pleased.
